February in Michigan ...

It's less than 1 degree now and I'm cold.
Wishing I was driving to Florida ... or better yet, sitting on a beach somewhere.

Last day of the year ...

I'm going to do one of those new year's walks this year (since I'm not ready to run the entire thing).
Should be a blast since I'm still sick AND I'm in Michigan.
Going to eat some soup before the walk so maybe that will help keep the chill away ...

Today, I've had a lot of thoughts about health since I'm not the only sick person around me ...
That's what this next year will be about: health!

Health and laughter and joy -- sharing all of those things with family, friends and colleagues.

Holidays and more ...

The holidays started for me on 12/20 -- when I learned that my favorite Marine was home for the holidays!
That meant that I didn't have to drive to North Carolina to take Christmas to him -- what a great surprise.
The next day was my last day with Fry ... even though I had "so long snacks" on Wednesday.
I start my new job on 1/2 ---- I'm moving from the agency side to the vendor side of the Web Analytics world --- how cool is that?  Extremely.  Going to work for Coremetrics -- thoroughly and completely excited.

Sitting on the sofa right now with Christmas all around me -- it's difficult to think about Web Analytics or even a new job.  I'll get back to thinking about both on Wednesday 12/26 when I am setting up my office in my home (working remote will be great).

So for now, I'll drink some of my first Christmas gift (from a friend) ... some Adagio Tea. Yum!
And enjoy the warmth that it brings -- just like the holiday!

Brief thoughts ...

Since it's been a while - thought I would take a moment out and just write a thought or two.
Snow - we've had some!

Christmas - had some of that too (in Ohio this weekend).

Marines - my new Marine will be heading to his next stop on Wednesday; an all day long journey across America thanks to the season and the need for cheap travel I guess.  Boot camp prepared him for long days.

Analytics - things are shifting for me now; one more week in the e-commerce solution provider world then heading to the vendor-side of life.  More on that later.

I was going to load some pics tonight but I think I'd rather just mention that I'm going to go with this photo-sharing site because, well, it's better.  Costs just a wee bit more but there's no space limit, my images are going to look great even when they're not (that's incredibly important since I'm not a professional - I just snap when it hits me) AND the company actually gives their employees a "cube decorating budget" -- so that every employee gets to decorate their own cube!  How cool is that?  I didn't watch the entire video about the company -- but I did get that far (right now though, I can't seem to find the URL for that) ...  check them out: SmugMug.com -- love the name too.  Oh, and the best part, there are no stupid ads!  And besides all of the usual blogs and a forum -- they even have their wiki available for us all.  I'm signing up this very week!
